Binh Thuan hosts Vietnam’s second international photography festival

The purpose of the festival is to showcase the beauty of Vietnam’s landscapes and people, as well as to foster international exchanges through various photography-related activities.

This festival is part of a series of events celebrating the National Tourism Year 2023, which is hosted by Binh Thuan province and carries the theme “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence”.

Ma The An, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition, stated that the festival provides an opportunity for photography enthusiasts and professionals from both Vietnam and abroad to exchange ideas and showcase their artworks.

Out of the 2,252 submissions from 147 photographers representing 15 countries and territories, only 200 photos by 82 participants were selected for the exhibition titled “Vietnam through the lens of international photographers” in Phan Thiet City. These photos are also available for viewing on the website of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition at ape.gov.vn.

The first festival, held in 2021 and hosted by the province of Ninh Binh, received a total of 1,567 entries from 98 professional and amateur photographers representing 19 countries and territories.
