President joins ethnic spring festival in Hanoi

 

President Thuong listens to ethnic people introduce their unique cultural activities.
This year’s festival sees the participation of about 300 people from 28 ethnic communities in 16 provinces and cities across the country.
Upon addressing the event, the Vietnamese State leader emphasized that through a history of thousands of years of  national construction and protection, 54 ethnic groups have created unique and rich cultural values that have made significant contributions to further enhancing the country’s position and reputation within the international arena.
Thuong affirms that the Party and State always pay special attention to building great national unity.

“Vietnamese Designers Win with Scrap Fabric Costume”

The fourth iteration of Vietnam Design Week 2023 concluded on September 29th at the Temple of Literature. During the event, the costume design Ratla Xuan by Nguyen Khai Tam won the first prize in the Designed by Vietnam competition. Ratla Xuan, designed by Nguyen Khai Tam, wins the Designed by Vietnam contest. Nguyen Khai Tam crafted the winning costume by utilizing available materials and repurposing discarded fabrics. The costume showcases hand-stitched and woven patterns, celebrating the creativity of craftsmanship while promoting sustainability. Nguyen Khai Tam, the designer, stated: “As a proponent of sustainable fashion, I am passionate about the reuse of fashion waste. The annual four-day summer festival, which kicked off on July 25, was a celebration of Vietnamese culture and community in Berlin.
