Air Force Practices for 70th Anniversary Celebration of Dien Bien Phu Victory



Every helicopter undergoes a thorough inspection before participating in the event.


To mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory over French colonialists, several military branches, including the air force, will participate in the parade on May 7 at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium.

The Vietnamese revolutionary army launched its initial attack against the French colonialists’ heavily fortified base at Dien Bien Phu on March 13, 1954, initiating a historic 56-day campaign. The victory led directly to the signing of the Geneva Accords, ending the war and restoring peace in Indochina.


The parade will be the highlight of several activities commemorating the anniversary of the victory. It will serve to emphasize the significance and historical importance of the Dien Bien Phu victory and the overall development of the Vietnam People’s Army.














The air force’s practice attracts considerable attention from local residents.

Vietnam to halt visa exemption policy for citizens from the EU and the UK

The UK and EU member nations will no longer enjoy visa-free travel to Vietnam , according to a proposal submitted to the government by the country’s steering committee on COVID-19 fighting and prevention. Vietnam will also halt its visa exemption policy for citizens of other countries outside of the EU where over 500 cases have been reported or more than 50 new infections are recorded in a single day, according to the proposal. Foreigners who have symptoms of il lness or recent travel history to areas hit by a COVID-19 outbreak will be denied entry into Vietnam .
